Home Care Services are aimed at enabling elderly people and young people with a disability to live independently within the community and to engage with the wider community. Home Care services are determined by assessment after reviewing client needs and available resources.
The responsibilities of the Program are to:
- Increase awareness and appropriate use of Home Care Services by Aboriginal people.
- Develop strong partnership between mainstream providers and the Aboriginal community.
- Identify and raise awareness of the barriers and service gaps for Aboriginal people within the Home Care Services system.
