Central to Ramahyuck’s capacity to deliver quality primary and preventative health care to the wider Gippsland region is our practice in Morwell, the Nindedana Quaranook Gippsland Aboriginal Health Service.

Nindedana Quaranook practice comprises a strong complement of staff, including GP’s, a Registered Practice Nurse and Aboriginal Health Workers. These health professionals deliver a wide range of needed services to the community such as GP clinic, child and maternal health care, social and emotional well-being support, health assessments and education, ante-natal classes, diabetes assessment and education, HbA1c testing, podiatry, women’s and men’s health care, immunisation programs, home visits, and the maintenance and delivery of Webster Pack medications.

In 2006-07 there were more than 7,930 client contacts with the health service were recorded through routine medical appointments and field work.

Nindedana Quaranook is committed to raising awareness across the education and medical sector about Indigenous health care needs and works closely with a number of universities and other accredited training facilities to educate medical, nursing and other allied health students and provide opportunities for clinical placements.
