Moving Forward: Developing Cultural Competency

Ramahyuck RTO offer nationally accredited training through a two day training and

assesment program to develop wokers' cultural competency around working with Aboriginal

and Torres Strait Islander co-workers.

Successful assesment on completetion of the program 

'Moving Forward: Developing Cultural Competency' will lead to accreditation in the unit

HTLHIR404C Work Effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people

 

During the Two days those completing the workshops and assesment tasks will develop their

knowledge, skills and understanding of:

* Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander History

* What it means to be culturally

competent 

* Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture

* Effective Communication with

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander

people

* Understanding impact of historic events * Culturally safe workplace relationships
* Your own culture and the cultural reality of others

* True partnerships with Aboriginal and

Torres Strait Islander communities

* Working in a cross-cultural context
